Sex and the State

How much incompetence should we expect from the government? What amount of neglect is acceptable? Should we give foster care programs the benefit of the doubt, despite them being the single biggest factor in youth sex trafficking? If government agencies are to be trusted, perhaps they should start by ensuring that children in their care are not sexually exploited. If 75% of children being trafficked were already in contact with the child welfare system, who should bear the blame? Surely the child welfare system doesn’t make things worse? Right?
